Canvass provides easy data capture for a political party canvasser doing door-to-door canvassing, or other voter polling.
Data can be collected from an arbitrary number of contacts, reviewed, and emailed for analysis.
While the program has been prepared for Canadian political party use specifically, nothing prevents its use for other political party canvassing or even other polling usage.
Data on each interviewee is collected in a single screen. 12 different fields are solicited: Name, address (3 fields), postal code, phone number and email address, voting intention and up to 4 characteristics. These latter include interest in being a volunteer, interest in help getting to a polling station on election day, interest in taking a sign, and whether a likely donor.
